Welcome to my blog. Today I am participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. The theme is encouragement. I’ve decided that sending a get well card to a friend is a form of encouragement! I love the new Happy Tails Bundle and decided to use it for this card. (My friend has a beautiful Golden Lab.)
Participating in the blog highlights is something of a competition. I hope you’ll check out Kylie’s blog and vote for my card. If I am in the top ten, I’ll be able to participate in an International Blog Hop later in March. Just click here or on the banner below.
My card is Number 7. Click on the heart that will be in the upper right hand corner. (Not the one on my card, I just realized that might be a bit confusing!) Thanks!
Design Notes for Happy Tails Card:
To add a little interest to this card, I first stamped the dog on Very Vanilla card stock, then colored him in with the Light Crumb Cake Blends marker. Then, I punched the dog out from the card. Next I placed the stamped doggie on the inside. This is called the Inside out technique. Oh, I highlighted his nose and eye with a Journal Pen.
To finish off the card, I sponged the sentiment and backed it on a piece of Early Espresso card stock. Both pieces were punched out with the Tailored Tag PUnch.

Thanks for stopping by today.
A few days ago I shared a card I made using the inside out technique. You can see it here. With that card I used Framelits to have a part on the inside show through to the outside. Today, I’m sharing a card I made with the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Daisy Punch. It’s the same technique, using a punch instead of Framelits.
Can you go wrong with a daisy card? I think not!
Design Notes for Daisy Delight Card:
Well, this was another easy card. First I stamped the daisy on a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock, then punched it out with the Daisy Punch. Next I punched a daisy on the front of the card. I added some Mini Dimensionals to the stamped daisy and slipped it onto the inside of the card through the front. Lastly, I stamped the stem and added the sentiments. Really, wasn’t that easy?
Supply List for Daisy Delight Card:
The Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch are bundled. That means you save 10% if you buy them together. Why wouldn’t you?
Looking forward to a wonderful weekend – Flower Show in Philadelphia, Ava’s confirmation, Mass and lunch at Daylesford Abbey, a play in Malvern – all before returning home on Sunday.
I was hoping to make a really simple card for today. Guess what. I succeeded. The Oh So Eclectic stamp set and Eclectic Layers Thinlits made it really easy.
Do you see the leaves near the bottom peeking out from the inside? The leaves are on the inside and showing on the outside. Thus the name, inside outside!
Design Notes for Oh So Eclectic Card:
Want to learn how to make a card like this? Easy – really!
First I stamped the three leaves on the front of the card. Next, I used one of the Thinlits to cut out the bottom set of leaves. I then added some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the leaves and popped it through the opening to the base of the card.
On a piece of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the flower three times. I used the Thinlit to cut out each flower. Next, I sponged each flower and then curled each one with my Bone Folder. I used a little SNAIL adhesive to add two of the flowers, the third one was popped up on a Dimensional. Finally, I used the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends marker to color a pearl for the center of each flower. The last touches were to stamp a sentiment with Bermuda Bay ink and then to add some ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Shimmer Ribbon Combo Pack.
I do love the Pearls colored with the Bermuda Pay Stampin’ Blends Marker.
