Label Me Pretty – Yummy! Yummy!

One of my neighbors has been in the hospital and is now home. I made her some of my somewhat famous chocolate chip cookies*. Doesn’t that help anyone recuperate? Also, one of the loveliest ladies in my class fell and fractured her right hand and missed class yesterday. Treats were a necessity for her as well! I pulled out my new Label Me Pretty set and made a few tags for goodies.

Label Mr Pretty, Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack, heat embossing, Stampin, Up!, diannescards.com

For this tag I used Petal Garden Designer Paper. I heat embossed the ‘from my KITCHEN to yours’ with white embossing powder on Chocolate Chip card stock (appropriate, right?)

Striped Treat bags, Stampin' Up!, diannescards.com

I took Anna Marie a few peanut butter cookies I had made for class and put them in this adorable Striped Treat Bag. The tag is heat embossed on Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I used gold embossing powder to coordinate with the gold stripes on the bag. Love the bags!

Finally, I made one more tag, just in case! This one uses Wood Texture Designer Series Paper and Copper Foil Paper along with some of the new Copper Ribbon.

Tag in a Minute with Better Together

Whew! Yesterday I needed a tag for a baby gift. I had forgotten about the tag to be honest. I was feeling pretty smug that I had the gift and had it gift bagged. Then there was the tag. So, I grabbed the Better Together stamp set and VERY quickly made a gift tag. I’ll admit, nothing fancy but somewhat impressive nonetheless.

I like to think of it as simple elegance.

Design Notes for Better Together Gift Tag:

Really, it’s almost embarrassing to imagine I need to give you any hints about the best way to make this.

  • Cut paper. The Whisper White piece is 1/2″ narrower than the Soft Sky.
  • Stamp. I used Pacific Point ink. I thought the contrast with the Soft Sky would be good.
  • Adhere / Punch. Adhere the two pieces of card stock, then use the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to complete the deal.
  • Add ribbon.

See, it’s embarrassing.

But aren’t there times when you need something – QUICKLY!?  I’ll give you this hint – layers.

My god daughter, Caroline is making cookies in the shape of onesies for a baby shower and we’re going to make tags to go with them. You may remember that we collaborated on tags and cookies for her sister’s shower about 3 years ago. (To see those tags, check out this post.)

They are pretty much blue and white tags with a onesie on them! On the first tag I used In Color Designer Series Paper. I created the scalloped bottom by using the Best Badge Punch. For the middle tag, I used Dapper Denim card stock and stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink. I also used a different onesie. The tag on the right has Floral Boutique Washi Tape at the bottom. The little heart was made with the Owl Builder Punch.

So, what do you think? Tell me what you think by voting for your favorite!
