A few days ago, I showed you a darling little box I made to hold 3″ x 3″ note cards. I wanted to show you the cards thay I made to go in the boxes. I had such a good time, I made two different sets. To see the box, look here.
Design Notes for 3″ x 3″ Note Cards:
I made the Note Cards themselves from Whisper White card stock. If you use regular, 8.5″ x 11″ card stock, you will have lots of waste since you need to cut 3″ x 6″ If you used 12″ x 12″ card stock you will be able to cut 8 from each piece of card stock and no waste!
The 3″ x 3″ Envelopes fit perfectly. (They are just a tad bigger than 3″ x 3″.)
I used various pieces from the Floral Romance Designer Paper and then added a sentiment, backed with some Mossy Meadow. Some cards had ribbon and some had paper punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. I added a few sequins to some cards and Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems to others. Gotta have a little bling!
The 3″ x 3″ Envelopes fit perfectly. (they are just a tab bigger than 3″ x 3″.)

I love what I do. Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is fun. I get to meet lots of great people and share what I love to do. When I saw that the theme for this week’s Global Design Project was “Love It – Live it- Share It” , I thought that customer thank you notes would fit into that theme perfectly. And isn’t the Pick A Pennant stamp set the perfect way so say thanks!
Design Notes For Pick A Pennant Note Card:
Well, I must start off with a confession. I believe that I got this stamp set when I was in Hartford, CT at the Stampin’ Up! On Stage event. For some reason, I just haven’t used it until today. That’s pretty much when I realized that I have yet to buy the Framelits that go with this set! (That will soon be remedied!) So the pennants and bird were fussy cut. Not hard but not as nicely done as they would be with the Framelits. Ah well, live and learn.
This card was pretty easy to put together. Once I had settled on the colors, I stamped the pennants in Mint Macaron and then used the darker, Pacific Point ink for the letters. I love using the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and figured it would give the card some nice texture as well as someplace for the bird to land!

As I said at the beginning of this post, I do love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The discount on product is mainly why I joined but that started to take second place not long after I started. I love the people I get to meet and so enjoy sharing what I love to do. If you’d like to join our group, just click on the icon below or email me ([email protected]). I’d love to have you join our team.

Do you ever get stuck for a card idea? Are you ever in a quandary about designing a card? It happens to all of us. There are lots of places out there to get inspiration. Demonstrators blog entries, like this one, Challenge sites like Global Design Project or Freshly Made Sketches. But one of the best inspirations is the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! Today I’m going to show you a note card I made using the Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum.
If you look on page 164 in the new 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, you’ll see my inspiration. Aren’t they beautiful?
Design Notes for Graceful Glass Card:
I had so much fun coloring the vellum! I was just going to do one or two, using my Stampin’ Blends, but I ended up doing a whole sheet.
I used the full sized card that is on Smoky Slate card stock as my inspiration. I changed a few things! Note card instead of full size card for starters. I used different colors and didn’t add anything in the background. The thank you was replaced with a birthday sentiment. The birthday sentiment looked a little lonely so I added the bird. Using the bird gave me a chance to play with the Stained Glass Thinlits, always a fun time. All in all, making this card relieved any problems I might have had with inspiration!
Supply List for Graceful Glass Card:
You can buy the Painted Glass stamp set and Stained Glass Thinlits dies separately or as a Bundle. buy the Bundle and save 10%!
