.You can’t make anything you don’t love with Painted Harvest stamp set. I needed to make some thanksgiving gift tags for a neighbor and immediately went to that stamp set. The two step stamping on the flowers are just beautiful, no matter what color combination you use.
Wouldn’t you like to get a package with this gift tag?
Design Notes for Painted Harvest Tag:
I had only the vaguest idea what I wanted this to look like before I began. When I was pleased with the look, I stopped adding things! Not my usual style – well maybe, sometimes.
The flower was stamped using So Saffron ink for the first layer. Then, Tangerine Tango was used for the second layer. I hadn’t used that combination before. I just about gasped when I saw it because I was so pleased with how it came out!
There are three little flashes of bling on this tag. Can you find them? I cut out a leaf with a Thinlit from Seasonal Layers Thinlits and Copper Foil. The next little touch of copper is the Washi Tape at the bottom. The Washi Tape is from the Holiday catalog, Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape. Can you see the third bit of copper? I added some Copper Thread at the top of the tag to anchor the Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine.

In case you have made your way to the end of the new Holiday Catalog, very near the end you’ve seen the Spooky Night Suite. I LOVE IT!! There’s Designer paper, stamps, a cat punch, ribbons, and even Treat Tubes! Oh, and Black Rhinestones! What more could you want to create terrific Halloween cards and treat holders? I decided to use some of the products to create little wrappers for the Halloween Tic Tacs I found in my local supermarket. These will be door prizes for my monthly card classes. Winner!
Design Notes for Spooky Night Suite Treats:
These truly were pretty easy to make. I folded the paper around, and scored as I went since the top on one side is a little wider than the other. It required a little bit of fussing. I also cut down the wrapper a bit where the flip top is. The cat got a little lost when I put it on the Spooky Night Designer Paper. So, I just punched out another cat from Basic Black card stock and off-set that one behind the stamped one. The shadow was all it needed to stand out. And don’t you love the Vintage Crochet Trim collar?
After I finished the prototype, I realized I didn’t like see the ‘naked’ container top. Bring in the Washi Tape. I used the Old Olive tape from the Washi Basic Pack 2.
Supply List for Spooky Night Suite Treats:
You can find the Spooky Night Suite on page 52 and 53 in the Holiday Catalog. And guess what! The Spooky Cat stamp set and Cat Punch come as a Bundle! You know what I’m going to say… BUY THE BUNDLE! Save 10% and be 100% happy.

It’s Sunday! That means another video, this one in the CASE series (Copy and Share Everywhere). And, as an added bonus, for this one, I created a belated birthday card. But, perhaps you are one of those people who never need that kind of card. Well, you might want to watch the video anyway, just to get some hints on Caseing a card.
Here’s a picture of just the card. Isn’t it cute? I think this is a color combination worth holding on to.
Here are the colors.
And here is a close up so that you can see the cute Glitter Enamel Dots.

A Few Things to Remember:
Hope you are enjoying a beautiful Sunday.
I’ve been a bit behind the trend with using Washi Tape. My goal for the next few weeks is to create some cards and projects using Washi in different way. When I saw the Global Design Project challenge for this week, I decided to use it for the background. Here’s what I came up with.
Here’s the logo and link for the Global Design Challenge page.
So, it’s a pretty basic card, don’t you think. And, really suitable for just about anyone.
Design Notes for Washi Birthday Wishes Card:
There are four Washi Tape packages in our new catalog. I used a strip of each one of the Basics Pack 3 Washi Tape. It features the colors Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim, Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Pool Party. All colors I love! Nonetheless, I used Marina Mist for the layer and for the banner. Go figure. I just liked the way it looked! The challenge sketch had a little accent next to the banner. I played around with some tiny flowers from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set but just couldn’t find the right place or color. When that happens, I go with, “leave it alone”. I had stamped the banner (from Bloomin’ Love stamp set) in Tranquil Tide to add another color and then added some Tranquil Tide Ribbon at the bottom. One, two, three, done.
Supply List for Washi Birthday Wishes Card:
The Bloomin’ Love stamp set is actually a stamp set I ordinarily put aside for Valentine’s, but it was a day for stepping on the wild side.

It’s that time of year. The In-colors that we’ve come to love for nearly two years are leaving soon. Cucumber Crush is one of those colors. I know I will love the new colors when they come out in June. In the meantime, I’m just a little sad about letting the 2015-2017 colors go. I wanted to make some cards to send to some far away friends so I decided to spend some quality time with Cucumber Crush.
Design Notes for Cucumber Crush Hello Card:
I was inspired to created this clean and simple card by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
As soon as I saw the stripes, I thought of Washi tape. I particularly like the Affectionately Yours Washi and it has Cucumber Crush in it so, no further consideration required. In my first version, I didn’t emboss the Whisper White card stock. I felt, as I often do, that it needed some texture. What does texture better than an embossing folder? This card seemed to call for the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder. And do you like the Best Badge with the trim in Cucumber Crush card stock and Copper Foil?
