Yesterday was so much fun! I love being a demonstrator and being able to go to events like Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage event in Hartford, CT. One of the most fun things to do is swap with other demonstrators. You gotta love the Bird Banter stamp set right? Here’s the card I made with that set for a swap I participated in.
Here are all of the cards, ready to go in clear plastic envelopes.
Design Notes for Bird Banter Card:
What to do? If I had stamped the bird first and then the background I would have lines through the bird. Same problem if I had stamped the background first. I wanted no unsightly lines through my bird!. The answer? Masking. First, I stamped the bird on the card stock. Then I stamped the bird again on a scrap of paper, cut it out and lightly adhered it on top of the bird I had stamped. Next, I stamped the background. When I removed the cut out bird, I had a bird on the cardstock with no lines! After that I colored it with Water Color Pencils and a Blender Pen.

Monday Memory Keeping
For the last few weeks, I’ve been trying to devote part of my weekends to catching up on my scrap booking. I think I am like most scrapbookers and am a bit behind. This past weekend, I worked on updating my Stampin’ Up! scrapbook. I keep a book with pictures and memorabilia from all of the terrific Stampin’ Up! events I attend. Here are a few pages from the On-Stage Local event in Richmond I attended last April. The highlights are from the Sweet Soiree Memories & More Cards.
Doesn’t it look like a lot of fun!? I always a have a great time at a Stampin’ Up! event.
Sweet Soiree Memories & More Cards:
These cards are perfect if you like to work quickly. Paired with the Variety Pack of Photo Pocket Pages you can preserve your memories quickly. Sometimes I like to do large layouts, with lots of details but more and more, I am finding it’s more about the memories and less about the elaborate pages.
Oh and here’s the best part, the Sweet Soiree Memories & More Cards are FREE. Well, at least for a few more days.
This great pack of cards is one of the items you can select if you purchase $50 or more. But you have to hurry, Sale-A-Bration will be over Saturday night!
Remember, you can also use these cards to create VERY QUICK greeting cards!
Really, this card took me no time!

Wow! What a great weekend. Got back from Richmond late Sunday afternoon and have been sorting through all my goodies. I realized that I never got to show you the gifts I made for my roommate and friends. It’s one of the nice traditions of going to a Stampin’ Up event. Along about Wednesday night, I dug out my Friendly Wishes stamp set and got to creating!
I worked pretty late on Wednesday night and did not quite finish. (We left Thursday morning.) So I ended up finishing them in the hotel on Thursday. Not the first time that has happened!
My prototype and and tags. Creativity is a messy process! Note the candy that filled the bag. You can never go wrong with Hershey’s Kisses and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
To decorate these cute bags, I ran three strips of Affectionatly Yours Washi Tape diagonally across the bag. The tag was made from Whisper White card stock and some more Washi Tape near the bottom. Next I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch at the top and then used one of the thinllits from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits set. Stamp my sentiment and done!

New Catalog/ Retirement List:
I received a new catalog while I was in Richmond. I even received a few stamp sets from the catalog. There are so many things you are going to love. But, with the new coming in, some old goes out. Later today (3 PM EDT to be exact.) a Retirelemnt list will be issued. I will post it as soon as I can. There will be some thing on sale! But everything is pretty much ‘while supply lasts’. If you see it, GET IT! Call me, email me, or order from my 24-7 on-line store, but do it quiclky.
If you are a regular customer of mine. I will give you a new catalog as soon as I can. If you would like to be a customer of mine, let me know and I can arrange to give or send you a catalog. Just send me an email at [email protected]
I will send out another email today notifying of you of the Reitrement list post. It will be short but sweet!
Here’s a picture from the Leadership dinner and training on Friday night. Fun!
Well, as you may know, when you read this I am in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Stampin’ Up! Convention -Inspire, Create, Share. A few weeks ago, this invitation came in the mail.
I checked out the hotel on line. WOW! It looks fantastic and I’ll be there tonight! Gotta get out my best Black and White outfit!
Not everyone going to convention gets to go to this. You have to be at a level called Silver Elite. Silver Elite level has to do with annual sales, and how many downline you have. I am so fortunate to have a great team and that they have also achieved success and have fun doing something they love. Wouldn’t you like to be part of this team, Di’s Divas? To purchase the Starter Kit means you get to select $125. of merchandise (any current catalog or clearence rack.) This only costs you $99 and you pay no shipping. That’s like saving an additional $12.50!
Please check out my page above, “Join My Team”. You can be whatever kind of demonstrator you want, Hobby or Business minded. Check it out.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I’m getting very excited. The Stampn’ Up! convention – Inspire, Create, Share – is coming very soon. I’ll leave in about about 10 days. Yesterday I got these things in the mail to stir up my excitement!
My convention badge with tags and the schedule for the days of convention.
Well, before I go, I’ve got lots of work to do. One of the best things about convention is exchanging swaps with other demonstrators. Here are the materials I THINK I’ll be using for my swap. Any ideas on how I’ll put it all together? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Leave your ideas in the comments section.
Once I have swapped, I’ll share the card with you!
Have a nice Sunday!
