Today I am participating in a blog hop with the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday website. The theme is masculine cards. Aren’t we always looking for great cards for men? This is sometimes hard when we survey our stamp sets and see LOTS of flowers! But, I think you will be really happy when you see all of the cards in this hop. Here’s my entry. You’ll see, lots of Tranquil Tide!
Here is a list of other stops along the Hop. (Some may not be live until later today, Monday, May 28.) I hope you will visit the other stampers and see what they have prepared. I know you will get lots of great ideas!
Design Notes for Tranquil Tide Card:
To be honest, this is one of the easiest cards I’ve made in a long time! The background is not stamped. It is a piece of the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. I cut two pieces of card stock, one Fresh Fig (1 1/2″) and one Tranquil Tide (2″) and used the Triple Banner Punch to add the flags at the end. The sentiment, from the new Detailed with Love stamp set, is stamped with Tranquil Tide ink and also flagged with the Triple Banner Punch. The final touch was to wrap a piece of Burlap Ribbon around the card front pieces and tie it with a strand of the burlap. That’s about it!

Today is the blog hop. Remember that a few weeks ago I asked you to vote for my card? We’ll I landed in the top ten so today I am able to participate in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Hop! The theme of the hop is love. I am so fortunate to have some wonderful friends that I love dearly. In a few days, I’ll get to see some of them in Hartford at the Stampin’ Up! event and then I’m visiting in Massachusetts to see more friends. I thought the sentiment from Window Shopping was perfect to show my love and appreciation.
You really have to go and see all of the other great cards. I know you will be inspired!
Design Notes for Window Shopping Card:
I think gate fold is one of the easiest and cutest fun fold. I just add a tiny mark at the top of the page at the 4 1/4″ mark then fold in each side to meet at that mark. Easy, right? And did you notice that I used some more of the beautiful Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper? I’ve been working on overcoming my hording ways. Both papers are from that package. i like how the piece behind the sentiment introduces the Lemon-Lime Twist color. A good excuse for me to add some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon.

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Hop. I am so excited to be part of this hop. All of the posts will focus on some items from the Occasions Catalog and/or Sale-A-Bration brochure. Be sure to check out everyone’s post. I know they will be awesome. I chose to feature the Sale-A-Bration set, Party Pandas. Don’t you love those cute pandas?
I was inspired by the color challenge over at the Global Design Project as well. What a fun color combination!
Design Notes for Party Pandas Card:
I tried to keep this card simple so that I could get away with using each of the pandas in the set! I just couldn’t decide which I wanted. If you look carefully, you will see that I used every stamp in the set! The background for each panel is the star/dots piece, I used the heart on the envelope one of the pandas is holding and I also used the Happy Birthday stamp. But I think the best touch is the Myths and Magic Washi Tape I used at the top of each panel. Just the right amount of glitz! Oh, I also used some of the Washi on the balloon and on the envelope.
I know you want to see the other stops on the Blog Hop. Here’s are the links:
I had cut out an extra panda so I decided to use it to make a gift tag. It gave me a chance to use the third Washi tape!

Today is the day! Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Hop starts today! The theme was life changes. I may have not quite followed that but I think I consider turning 95 an amazing event. I wanted to honor a lady I know who will be turning 95 soon. So, I created a special card using the Number of Years stamp set.
Here are the links to follow the rest of the hop. Be sure to check them out. Amazing cards!
Design Notes for Number the Years Card:
I have been having so much fun with the Large Letters Dies that I realized I had to have the Large Numbers Framelits Dies and the accompanying stamp set, Number of Years. The sweet leaves and flowers are all included in the Number of Years stamp set. Love it! I used the eclipse technique to make the numerals stand out, then I surrounded the sentiments and “95” with leave and flowers. Next, I cut out the “9” and “5”. Finally, I added some Wink of Stella on the flowers and on the 95. Really, a pretty simple card.

Be sure to keep hopping! You will see some fabulous projects!
Thanks to all of you who voted for my project a few weeks ago. Now I am participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Hop. Pretty Exciting. Our task was to create a teacher gift. Turns out this was well timed. My goddaughter, Anne Marie, asked me to make some cards for her daughter Lia’s new pre-school teachers. What makes a card better? Candy! I got a chance to use the new Acetate Card Boxes. The boxes hold eight pieces of Ghirardelli Chocolate nicely!
Here’s a peek at the goodies!
Design Notes for Teacher Gifts
These box fronts were really pretty easy to create. I wanted to make something that looked like a chalk board. (Does anyone use chalk boards anymore?) So I stamped the Thank you with White Craft Ink and wrote the names with A Stampin’ Chalk Marker.
I’ll bet you have already figured out where the apples came from. I used petals from one of the flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set. Carefully cut out one and you have an apple for the teacher. May sure you’ve shined your apples with a little Wink of Stella.
More Stops on the International Blog Hop!
There are other fabulous stampers on this hop. Be sure to check them out. The hop goes live at 6 PM (EDT).
