It’s Bouquet Blooms and Thank You

Bouquet Blooms is a lovely stamp set. Lots of nice images and some good sentiments. I realized that it had been sitting on my stamp shelf and was prbably feeling a bit neglected. I remedied that today.

The sketch from this week’s Try Stampin’ on Tuesday challenge was the inspiration for this card. Check out the rest of the design team samples by clicking on the image below. Maybe you’d like to try your hand at a card for this challenge!

Design Notes for Bouquet Blooms Card:

I took a little spin on the sketch by turning it on its side. As I often do, I selected the colors based on the piece of Designer Paper I had selected with. Don’t you love that combination of Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry? Wish I could say I thought of it myself but, I did get it from the paper. I little stamping and some die cutting and I was done. #simplestamping!

Are you familiar with the Bouquet Blooms stamp set and Framelits. here’s a look. There’s so much there! It’s a great Bundle, very versatile.

Copper…Can You Have Too Much?

I seem to have a “thing” for copper these days. If there is a product that has copper in it, or on it, I buy it! And, I use it. Today’s card features three copper products. Can you tell which ones they are?

Copper, Sea of Textures stamp set, thank you, Copper Trim, Copper shimmer Paint, stitched Labels Framelits, Seaside Embossing folder, Sprig Punch, Leaf Punch, Stampin' Up!, diannescards.com

The inspiration for this card came from a beautiful card by Louise Sharp, one of the design team members over at Global Design Project. Click on the icon below and go over to see the designer’s and participant’s cards.

Global Design Project, #GDP164

Design Notes for Copper Card:

As much as I love the colors of Louise’s card, I decided to change them up in my card. The fall theme seemed to run through my mind. I used the Seaside Embossing folder to add some texture to the piece of Crushed Curry. Nice, but it needed something else. Copper Shimmer Paint! I used a Sponge Dauber to spread some color and bring out the embossing. The Copper Foil Sprig and Gold Glimmer leaf were tied together with some Copper Trim. So, there you have it, three copper products. I stamped the sentiment on some Crushed Curry card stock, cut it out with one of the Framelits from the Stitched Labels Framelits set. Then I cut a piece of Copper Foil to go behind and around the sentiment…one more little copper touch!

The envelope and the inside couldn’t be left unstamped!

Thanks With Wishing You Well

I try to send my customers a hand made card each time they place an order with me. Last month I used the beautiful Wishing You Well stamp set for these cards.

Wishing You Well stamp set, Detailed Trip Punch, Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder, thank you card, Stampin' Up!, diannescards.com

Did you notice, I didn’t put any sentiment on the front? I think this card could be used for so many occasions, just add a sentiment on the inside and done.

Design Notes for Wishing You Well Card:

Well, I think it’s hard to choose, but maybe my favorite thing about this card is the color combination.

Maybe I’m beginning to overuse Blackberry Bliss. No, forget I said that.
Look carefully at the bow. Isn’t it amazingly real looking. Stampin’ Up! has developed a new type of stamp they call “Distinktive”. It adds more depth and detail.

This stamp set is one you will use year round. Here are some cards from the Stampin’ Up! Website, using these stamps. Notice that one of these cards is for Christmas.  Aren’t they beautiful?

Big Thanks for Shelli

Do you know who Shelli Gardner is? She is the founder of Stampin’ Up!. I’ve been lucky enough to meet her a few times and of course know a lot about her through Stampin’ Up! She has done so much for the company and for all of the demonstrators. This week Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights is featuring thank you cards for Shelli. I have met so many wonderful people and learned so much through Stampin’ Up! Not making a card for her was just not in the mix! I used the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper for her card.

She is so kind, I thought that was the perfect sentiment.

Design Notes for Share What You Love Card:

I had no hesitation about what paper to choose for this card. The Designer Paper called Share What You love was just a logical choice. Many of the sheets have a pearly finish to them. I love that. However, the sheet that I selected did not have that finish. So, I added it. All it takes is a dauber and a little Frosted White Shimmer Paint. Easy Peesey. Do you love it?

The other detail on the front of the card was the piece of Mint Macaron card stock that I cut with the Delicate Lace Edgelits. I think I even made it look better with the addition of some Mint Macaron ink that I sponged on it.

I am really loving these edgelits. Check them out. Gotta give a shout out to my friend, Brian King here. I never even noticed them in the catalog but once I saw them on his web site, I had to have them! See his card using these here.

Detailed Lace Edgelits, Stampin' Up!, diannescards.com

When I first started designing the card, I used some vellum with the Edgelit. I decided that wasn’t really what I wanted and put the piece aside. But wait, after I sponged it, it was perfect as a little addition for the inside. Let nothing go to waste!

Falling For Leaves – One More Time

How could I not love a stamp set that has coordinating dies and create things for my favorite season? That’s the case for the Falling  For Leaves Bundle. It’s just the best stamp set and just to make it all better, a great set of coordinating Thinits.

Falling for Leaves stamp set, Detailed Leaves Thinlits, Sprig Punch, Pretty Label Punch, Stampin' Up!, diannescards.com, #GDP160

The layout for this card was inspired by a beautiful card presented over at Global Design Project this week. Isn’t it beautiful? #GDP160

Design Notes for Falling For Leaves Card:

Well, to say I followed the plan/sketch of the card might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but I think it’s close enough. The copper leaf is probably my favorite part. After I cut that one out, I did the solid shape leaf with Merry Merlot. A few sprigs, some lacy trim and a sentiment to finish off. I started to put it together and realized that background piece needed something. I used the large leaf stamp from Falling for Leaves but stamped off some of the ink before stamping. It was such fun to put together. Perhaps, I will make a bunch more to send to my customers for October orders.

Supply List for Falling For Leaves Card:

Go Team:

You know, I received the Falling for Leaves stamp set long before the Occasions catalog went live. That’s because I am a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. It’s just one of the great things about being a demonstrator. You get the good things first!

Another advantage to being a demonstrator, and it’s a big thing, the discount. You start with 20% and work up from there.

But getting things early and at a discount are not even the best things about becoming a demonstrator. I love creating and then sharing what I love with others. If you like that also, you should think about becoming a demonstrator. It doesn’t necessarily mean doing classes. There are other ways you can share.

You can sign up anytime, It’s only $99 for the Starter Kit. You get to pick whatever things you want. Oh, and you get to pick $125 worth of things! And – BONUS BONUS – pay no shipping on that order!

Please email me ([email protected])  if you have any questions. I’d love to have your join our team – no matter where you live. If you are ready to join, just click below.
