There’s still time. If you want to make a quick Easter card that is. I used the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set to make this card to send to some friends.
I also made this card for this week’s Global Design Project. I have to admit, it was a real challenge for me, The task was to create a monochrome card, not something I would ordinarily do!

Design Notes for Itty Bitty Greetings Card:
This card contains some of my favorite things! I love the butterfly die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits set. The Country Floral is currently my favorite, most versatile, embossing folder. I’m generally not a fan of purple but I think with all of the white, I like the Gorgeous Grape here. The card itself is pretty straightforward. It occurred to me while I assembled the card, that is a real lesson in using adhesives.
First, I used Tear & Tape when adhering the embossed piece to the Gorgeous Grape layer. Whenever you have an embossed piece, but sure to use a sturdy adhesive to adhere the bumpy layer.
Next I used some Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon. Really, it’s the easiest way to add ribbons.
Finally, I used some Mini Dimensions to adhere the sentiment. It’s pretty narrow so the Mini Glue Dots were perfect.
I also used some SNAIL to adhere Gorgeous Grape piece to the card base.
Oh, my final step was not an adhesive but a way to add just a touch of glimmer. I used Wink of Stella on the butterfly just to add that feeling of lightness.
Purchase List for Itty Bitty Greetings:
Notice that Itty Bitty Greetings is currently available in both Wood mount and clear mount. If you like wood mount stamps, time is running out. In the new catalog, very few stamps will be available in wood mount.

Each month I hold four card classes at various times and days. From time to time, I like to spoil my friends who faithfully attend and, I think, enjoy class. This month I made a little treat for everyone to celebrate spring and Easter. The sentiment from Fable Friends made it easy and cute!
I only used a sentiment from the Fable Friends stamp set, but you should look at this adorable set of images.
Design Notes for Fable Friends Treats:
Oh gosh. these were easy. I picked three colors and stamped some of the sort of sunburst image on Whisper White.
Next, I stamped the sentiments in the same three colors and punched them out with the Duet Banner punch.
A little Tear & Tape to hold everything together and they were done. Here’s a look at all of them!

“If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?” I guess after all the recent wind, rain, snow and general cold weather, I am needing a little spring. The so sweet stamp set, Fable Friends, seems to have just the right things – baby ducks and a spring welcome.
The layout for this card was inspired by this week’s challenge over at Global Design challenge. Click here or on the banner to go to the website and check out all the great cards and projects.
Design Notes for Fable Friends Card:
I loved making this card. I got to color! What fun. After I stamped the Mama and baby ducks with Basic Gray, I used some Watercolor Pencils to color them in and then used a Blender Pen to soften and even out the colors. When I put some card stock behind the image, it looked a little flat. Simple Stripes Embossing Folder to the rescue. I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock – twice. It was embossed one way then the other. Next, I used a Stamping Sponge and some Balmy Blue ink to highlight the stripes. Just the right touch, don’t you think?
My last touch was to add some Gingham Gala Designer Paper to the envelope flap.

Once Easter is here, it HAS to feel like spring, right? Well, I have known some times when that wasn’t true but I have high hopes for this year. We NEED spring. And the Hello Easter stamp set is perfect for bringing spring on.
I joined in on the challenge over at Global Design Project this week as well. You should hop on over and see all the great cards there. (Get it, “Hop on over.”)
Design Notes for Hello Easter Card:
The stand out portion of this card has to be the Basket Weave embossed piece. This is the most amazing embossing folder. It is very thick and creates a very deep impression on the paper. Love it! I even sponged it with some Berry Burst Ink to make it stand out just a bit more.
And the chocolate rabbit, how cute is that? I stamped it on some Whisper White card stock, punched it out with the 1 1/2″ Circle Punch. Next, I stamped him again and cut it out with Paper Snips. Finally, I popped him up with some Mini Stampin’ Diminsionals.
Supply List for Hello Easter Card:
Would you like to get the terrific embossing folder that I used for this card? I thought you would. You only have a few days left. You need to place an order by Saturday night. This item is bundled with the beautiful Blossoming Basket stamp set. Purchase $100 in stamping goodies and you can select this bundle.
Hope you are having a great day!
I know that spring will come soon. We did not get snow in the recent Nor’easter but got lots of wind and rain and weather that causes me to long for Spring. And the stamp set, You’re Inspiring, is filled with daffodils and makes me feel that indeed spring will come.
Don’t you love daffodils!
Design Notes for Daffodils Card:
This is one of the cards we will be making in my March card classes. But if you can’t come to my class, you can still make this card. I have a tutorial prepared for you. Just click on You’re Inspiring card tutorial. This tutorial contains a supply list, measurements, photos and step by step directions. The card can also be made into a birthday greeting.
I think the bit of Linen Thread really finished this card!
