Water Aerobics Thanks With Seaside Shore

Each summer one of my neighbors brings her gigantic boom box and a water aerobics CD over to the pool a few mornings a week. We all follow along with the CD and get some exercise and have lots of fun. Yesterday we had a little brunch to finish off the year. (Exercise and food, the perfect combination.) So, I created this thanks with Seaside Shore stamp set.

Are you wondering about those funny looking bits? They are supposed to be our swimming noodles!

Design Notes For Thanks With Seaside Shore Card:

Making a pop-up card is not hard if you can follow directions and not get ahead of yourself. I’ve made them before (see this post).  I used the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to decorate the various panels and the cut some waves from Silver Glimmer Paper. The fish, of course, are from the Seaside Shore stamp set. Since I wanted to add a nice sentiment on the back, I used one of the larger sentiment from the All Things Thanks set.

Because lots of people were going to sign the card, I made a folded panel in the back. I also made it a little taller than usual so I made my own envelope! Gotta love the Envelope Punch Board!

Hope you are having a splendid day!

Here’s Sharon with her special card.

Make a Wish!

Make a Wish! Go ahead! Maybe you wish to be invited to baby Lia’s first birthday party! When you see this cute invitation, you will want to be invited!

DSCN1099Oh my gosh, did I have fun making these. Of course, the cutest part is the little picture of baby Lia, but I guess I am a little bit biased! But really, doesn’t she just look like a little flower?

Believe it or not, the card will fit in to a standard envelope!

Decorated envelope!

The box cards are all the rage now aren’t they? And, not as hard to make as it looks. The trick it to do as much as you can before you actually make it all into a box!

Here’s a picture I took as I was finishing all of the invitations. Creating is sometimes messy!

Work in Progress!

I used the (sadly now retiring) Create a Cupcake for the cupcakes, and all of the flowers. The candles,  and  “Celebrate a SWEET Birthday” are from the Cycle Celebrations. “You’re Invited” is from Make a Wish, also retiring.

As you see, all the pertinent, invitation type information is on the back. I used My Digital Studio to print all of that so that I could get an exact match with the ink color. Yes, yes, I know, I am so clever!

If you want to make invitations like these, you better get a move on! The retired items (Create a Cupcake, and Make a Wish) were still available when I wrote this. However, Create a Cupcake is available in only in wood mount.
