.You can’t make anything you don’t love with Painted Harvest stamp set. I needed to make some thanksgiving gift tags for a neighbor and immediately went to that stamp set. The two step stamping on the flowers are just beautiful, no matter what color combination you use.
Wouldn’t you like to get a package with this gift tag?
Design Notes for Painted Harvest Tag:
I had only the vaguest idea what I wanted this to look like before I began. When I was pleased with the look, I stopped adding things! Not my usual style – well maybe, sometimes.
The flower was stamped using So Saffron ink for the first layer. Then, Tangerine Tango was used for the second layer. I hadn’t used that combination before. I just about gasped when I saw it because I was so pleased with how it came out!
There are three little flashes of bling on this tag. Can you find them? I cut out a leaf with a Thinlit from Seasonal Layers Thinlits and Copper Foil. The next little touch of copper is the Washi Tape at the bottom. The Washi Tape is from the Holiday catalog, Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape. Can you see the third bit of copper? I added some Copper Thread at the top of the tag to anchor the Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine.

Today is the day! Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Hop starts today! The theme was life changes. I may have not quite followed that but I think I consider turning 95 an amazing event. I wanted to honor a lady I know who will be turning 95 soon. So, I created a special card using the Number of Years stamp set.
Here are the links to follow the rest of the hop. Be sure to check them out. Amazing cards!
Design Notes for Number the Years Card:
I have been having so much fun with the Large Letters Dies that I realized I had to have the Large Numbers Framelits Dies and the accompanying stamp set, Number of Years. The sweet leaves and flowers are all included in the Number of Years stamp set. Love it! I used the eclipse technique to make the numerals stand out, then I surrounded the sentiments and “95” with leave and flowers. Next, I cut out the “9” and “5”. Finally, I added some Wink of Stella on the flowers and on the 95. Really, a pretty simple card.

Be sure to keep hopping! You will see some fabulous projects!
Be warned, I’m going to be featuring more Christmas cards in the next few weeks. Be assured, I will definitely give Thanksgiving its due but I just love all the new stamp sets and accessories. With that said, Flurry of Wishes is actually a hold over from last year and a beautiful set it is.
This card was really inspired by this weeks challenge over at Global Design Project. This was a CASE the Designer project and I used the repeated objects as my inspiration. Make sure to hop on over there to see all the great projects.
Design Notes for Flurry of Wishes Card:
Let’s just say that I had a good time with heat embossing! I was practicing and tried white snowflakes, then silver. They were both nice. Then I combined a little Silver Embossing Powder with some White Embossing Powder and I thought it was interesting! What do you think? After embossing the snowflakes, I still thought it needed something. So I added some Faceted Gems to the larger snowflakes and some Glitter Enamel Dots to the small ones. While I was heat embossing, I used White Embossing Powder for the sentiment.
When you use vellum, as I did on this card, you need to be careful about where you add the adhesive. It will show on the other side. Unsightly! So, that was an additional reason to add the Gems and Dots. That gave me some places to hide adhesive. I used Glue Dots.
For each place where there is a Gem, Dot or Dimensional, I added a Glue Dot.

Hope you are having a great day. I will be posting again late this afternoon. Today/tomorrow in Australia is the Kylie Bertucci Blog Hop. If you subscribe to my blog, you will get an email.
Well today’s card combines at least two of my favorite things… heat embossing and the new Stampin’ Blends. I ended up making three of these Birthday Blooms cards, I was having so much fun!
The flower is beautiful in any color but I especially like the fall Pumpkin Pie color.
Design Notes for Birthday Blooms Card:
The pretty border on the right hand side was made with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and some Copper Foil. Don’t you love the look?
Generally, when using alcohol markers like Stamin’ Blends you would use Memento Ink. That way the color will not bleed from the alcohol markers. However, for this card, I decided to use heat embossing to outline the flower parts. The petals were colored with Pumpkin Pie Light and then highlighted with the dark Pumpkin Pie Blends. I used Old Olive for the leaves and just a touch of Smoky Slate in the middle of the flower.

Do you ever have enough birthday cards? As many as I make, I find myself sometimes needing just the right card for some one. I realized the other day that I needed a card for a youngster and had nothing appropriate. So, I quickly pulled out Birthday Delivery stamp set, a set that I have shamefully been neglecting.
Perhaps you could send this to someone young at heart as well as to someone young!
Design Notes for Birthday Delivery Card:
This cute card went together pretty easily. (We also made a version of this card in my November card class.) The Designer Paper made it easy to select the colors. In this version of the card, I used the new Stampin’ Blends to color in the frosting on the cake. Such fun. Cutting out the cake and banner were easy because of the Birthday Friends Thinlits. I remembered to put a sentiment on the inside. The little package also decorated the envelope.
