The other day it rained, then got just a bit cooler. That evening, we sat on the porch and mused that soon it would be fall. I was inspired by that bit of weather change and this week’s Global Design Project color challenge. Fall was definitely in the craft room air! Grab the Country Home stamp set!

Design Notes for Country Home Card:
When I thought about fall, I thought about the Country Road stamp set. Don’t you love the image of the old milk container with some dried flowers? I decided to Use a Pretty Peacock Blend to color the flower so that it would stand out. I used some Crumb Cake Blends to color the other leaves and a Mossy Meadow Blend for the smaller leaves. Since I don’t have a Merry Merlot Blend (they don’t make one!) I used one of the Stampin’ Write Markers from the Neutrals set to color the berries. Finally, I fussy cut the container and flowers with my fantastic Paper Snips.
Here’s a look at all of the images in the Country Home stamp set.
When I began to put things together, I realized the Very Vanilla piece behind the other layers needed a bit of jazzing up. However, I didn’t want anything to distract so I inked up the Buffalo Check stamp with some Pretty Peacock ink and stamped off before adding it to a piece of Very Vanilla. After stamping and punching the sentiment. My last step was to add some of the great Scallop Linen Ribbon to add color and texture.
