The theme for Kylie Bertucci’s Blog Highlights is encouragement. When does someone need encouragement more that at the time of the passing of a loved one? I think the new Woven Heirlooms stamp set is absolutely perfect for this type of card.
I’ve entered this card in Kylie Bertucci’s Blog Highlights this month. Would you go over to her blog and vote for my card, #5? Just click on the heart in the upper right hand corner to vote. Thanks!
Design Notes for Woven Heirlooms Card:
You know how much I love heat embossing. I thought the white embossing was in keeping with the colors in the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. And don’t you love that piece cut with the Stitched Labels Framelits?
I cut out two of them so that I could use one on the inside of the card.
I like using butterflies on any card but especially a sympathy card. They seem so hopeful. For this, I stamped the butterflies (from Butterfly Gala stamp set) on vellum. Next, I punched out both butterflies from card stock and then mounted the vellum ones on the cardstock.
