Did you get it? The resist part of the title refers to the fact that I used the emboss resist technique with the Very Versailles stamp set. I hadn’t done that it so long and it really seemed perfect for this stamp set.
Design Notes for Very Versailles Card:
Do you know how to do emboss resist technique? It’s easy, really!
- Emboss design on card stock using Versamark ink and either clear or white embossing powder.
- After you heat the powder, use a sponge and ink pad to add color over your embossed image.
- Use a paper towel or cloth to remove any extra ink so that the stamped image will pop a bit. This step is optional. Since I wanted a more subtle look, I did not do that on this card.
Here’s a link to a card I made in the spring using the emboss resist technique.
I also tried something I don’t think of too often. You might not even notice it but I stamped the butterflies on Designer Paper. I get stuck in the idea that you have to stamp on card stock. Not so!
To finish off this lovely card, I found a piece of the Woven Threads Designer Paper that was just the right size to add to the back flap of the envelope. Don’t you love this paper?
