Down the street from our house is our community’s dog park. I love to walk past the park, especially in the spring. The dogs just look so happy! I know some of my friends arrange doggie play dates there. I wonder if some doggie love blooms in the park? That thought was pretty much the inspiration for today’s card made with the Happy Tails stamp set and the Dog Builder Punch.
This card was also inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge. The theme for this week’s card is ‘”A Day at the Park”.
Design Notes for Happy Tails Card:
I really had fun making this card! I knew I wanted to have two dogs facing each other so I tried out a new (to me) technique called mirror stamping. You have to have a Stamparatus and a Silicone mat to do this technique.
- I stamped the image on the Silicon mat three times. (One thing to keep in mind with this technique is to make sure that your ink pad is very juicy. If you buy the ink refill each time you buy an ink pad you will be all set.)
- After stamping on the mat three times, I then placed a piece of card stock on the Stamparatus to get the image from the Silicon Mat.
- Next, without moving the paper, I stamped the image one more time on the side of the paper facing up. That way I knew where the dog was so that I could punch him out!
