I have an event coming up and have been thinking about a little hostess gift. The other morning I saw a video from Ronda Wade where she created a darling note card box from one sheet of card stock. Love at first sight! And an answer to my query.
Isn’t this so cute?
Design Notes for Note Card Box:
First things first. You have to have a Stampin’ Trimmer or Simply Scored Board to make this box. There is a fair amount of scoring for this. Here are my scoring/cutting samples.
I added some Tear & Tape as indicated.
Just fold the sides over, and then adhere with the Tear & Tape. I added Designer Paper before I assembled but it really doesn’t matter. It’s easy to add after you assemble the box.
The decorative part was fun. You know how I love to heat emboss and used this as an opportunity to dig out some copper accents. The ribbon is from the Tea Room suite and the edge of copper was just too perfect. One option for the box is to wrap the ribbon around and then untie it to open it. I did tie the ribbon around but put a glue dot under the bow. Then all the recipient has to do is pull the ribbon off from the back, without untieing.
You can see the ribbon here.
