You probably know that tomorrow – Thursday, the new Occasions catalog goes live. I can’t wait! There are so many terrific stamp sets, papers tools and embellishments. I picked one of my favorite stamp sets for today’s post, Meant To Be. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day cards and treats.
Hummmm, I’m thinking it would also work great for anniversary.
Design Notes for Meant To Be Card:
First, the color combination. No brainer, right? But there are so many great shades of red! I went with Lovely Lipstick and glad I did. That’s one of the great things about Stampin’ Up!, he paper, the ink, the ribbons – all the same color.
I mounted most of the heart stamps from the stamp set onto one acrylic block and stamped on some Whisper White card stock. Voila, my own designer paper!
The Meant To Be stamp set is part of a bundle. The same set goes with a set of Framelits that you will love. The set includes lots of hearts and the cluster of hearts edgelits. That’s what I used for this card. Before I cut the hearts from the Gold Foil, I backed that foil with some adhesive sheets. That way, after I cut the hearts, there was already adhesive on the whole piece. No mess, no fuss. Bonus time – all the little hearts also had adhesive! Win! Win! Can you see where I scattered some? I put one on the inside as well.
