On Sunday, I went to West Chester to see Ava in a horse show. Though I don’t get to see her ride often, I do love it. I was really impressed with how great she looks! I don’t know anything about horseback riding but I was dazzled! So, the You Dazzle Me sentiment from the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set seemed perfect to make a little card for her.
I also decided this would be a great card for this week’s Global Design Project. It is a sketch challenge and I think this card fits the bill. Just click on the design and it will take you to the site so that you can see other great cards using this sketch.
Design Notes for You Dazzle Me Card:
What a fun challenge this was. The designer samples are terrific. I was all ready to cut some card stock with the Triple Banner Punch when I saw the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set and inspiration hit. The pocket was a perfect shape- well, sort of! Blueberry Bushel card stock is reminiscent of denim and the Grapefruit Grove put me in mind of the orange stitching on jeans. Since I always look for an opportunity to do heat embossing, I used some of the In Color 2018–2020 Stampin’ Emboss Powder for the stitching and for the sentiment.
