As you may recall, I am a Design Team member for a challenge site called, Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. This week we have a great challenge going. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I would make a Christmas card and use the Timeless Tidings stamp set.
Here’s the sketch I was working with.
Design Notes for Timeless Tidings:
I have to admit, usually I am pretty traditional with colors for Christmas cards. But, I think the touch of Night of Navy in the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper is just prefect so I decided to use some of that in my card. The background mat, and the piece behind the sentiment are both Night of Navy. Just to finish it off, I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut one of the navy ornaments.
Do you have the Darling Label Punch? To get that punch just purchase the Darling Label Punch Box kit. It contains the punch, a stamp set and two ink spots. Quite the deal. I used the punch for the sentiment then punched another one from Night of Navy, cut it in half and mounted it behind the sentiment to set it off.
Finally, I used some Silver Glimmer paper to set off the middle of the card and some of the new Frosted and Clear Expoxy Droplets. What fun embellishments they are.
Notice the envelope. I just used a scrap from one of the pieces in the same package of Designer Paper. I think that decorating the envelope gives a little fun preview of the card inside.
