Today I am participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. The theme for this month is “Sorry”. I had to think about this one for a little while but realized I could combine this with another card on my “To Do” list. One of my neighbors is moving soon and I’m really sorry to see her go. Here’s what I made for her with the sorry for everything stamp set.

Design Notes for Sorry for Everything Card:

As I was about to begin working on this card, I saw a package of designer paper I had just received. the top sheet in the pack seemed just perfect… light background, some touches of copper. Lo and behold, it was a package of Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper. So, never discount any holiday paper (or stamps for that matter) as only appropriate for that holiday. I may be biased but I think the paper I chose looks just right for this card.

I think my current favorite color changes day by day. Today my favorite is Merry Merlot. It’s so rich and beautiful. The copper embossed “Sorry” stands out so nicely. I added another few touches of copper just to seal the deal. A strip of copper foil at the top, punched out with the decorative Ribbon Border Punch made me happy. And of course, the Designer Paper has copper in it.

As I put the card together, I felt like it was missing something. Here’s version one.

I thought it needed a pop of color and so added the spring of Tranquil Tide (also a contended for “my favorite color”). Never one to leave well enough alone, I added just a touch of copper to some of the sprigs.

I tried to figure out how I could add just a little touch of Versamark so I could heat emboss and ended up using the end of the new Take Your Pick tool!

The inside of the card was pretty simple but I managed to use up a little left over sprig
