Today the new Holiday Catalog goes live. I know everyone is excited about all of the great Christmas items. And I am, really I am. But I love Halloween. I always have. Costumes, candy, what more could you want? So when I saw the Spooky Sweets stamp set in the new catalog (Page 51) I knew I had to have it. It is, I am sure, intended to make tags and labels for Halloween treats. I know I will use it for that. But, in the meantime, I made a Halloween card. Why not?
Isn’t this cute!
Design Notes for Spooky Sweets Card:
I really like the stamp in this set that is sort of just a texture. It reminded me of a late fall sky. It was the perfect backdrop for the bats.
This stamp set, Spooky Sweets, is part of a bundle that includes the Spooky Bats Punch. I tried to adhere the bats just in the center so that I could pull up the wings a bit to give it all some dimension. The Silver Glimmer Paper added some nice shine. I used the Twinkle Builder Punch for the moon. Boy, am I glad I bought that punch! Finally I added some Shimmer Ribbon and some Rhinestones. The Rhinestones were clear but I made them black with permanent marker.
