I’m always conflicted about “Christmas in July”. On one hand, it’s way too early to be thinking about Christmas. We still have lots of summer, fall, Halloween and, my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving before thinking about Christmas. On the other hand, there are wonderful new stamp set, and papers calling out to be used. So, I gave in. Stampin’ Up! is offering a beautiful new stamp set to celebrate many seasons called Blended Seasons. As you might guess, it’s also perfect for using Stampin’ Blends as I did in the card below.
Just a reality check here. Today in July 25, 5 months until Christmas!
Design Notes for Blended Seasons Card:
There are some terrific framelits in this bundle. I know I will use them for lots of cards and tags. I actually started out with the centerpiece and worked my way out. The Merry Christmas sentiment is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Heat Emboss powder. After stamping the holly border, I colored it in with Stampin’ Blends in one of the new colors, Call me Clover. I added some Wink of Stella on the mistletoe sprigs.
The background paper is from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper package. You can find this in the Annual Catalog on page 95. Lots of great designs.
