Over the weekend, we had a houseful of company for an early July 4 celebration. It was all very “Americana”. We cooked out, saw fireworks, and participated in a golf cart parade. (Scroll to the end for pictures.) I even made a blueberry cake and cherry turnovers for desserts. So of course, I made little gift boxes for everyone with red, white and blue (Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel.) Here are some of the boxes I made.
I later added the names under the “Celebrate” sentiment.
Design Notes for Blueberry Bushel Boxes:
I first saw Ronda Wade make these boxes on one of her weekly videos. So easy! It’s a one piece box that is made from one piece of card stock. I’ve written up a tutorial for you with lots of photos. All you need to do is click on the title here. Directions for Treat Box.
When you create your treat box, you can decorate it however you like. I used a 2″ wide strip of Whisper White Card Stock. To create the stars, I used a stamp from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set and Versamark ink. Some heat and Silver Embossing Powder gave it a little sparkle. More sparkle was added with the Silver Glimmer Paper. The “Celebrate” sentiment is from the Beautiful You stamp set. The circles are Starburst Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and 1 1/2″ Circle Punch. After I put the band on, I added some Lovely Lipstick or Blueberry Bushel ribbon. Easy, right?
