I’ll admit it. Sometimes inspiration is just elusive. But, I can easily find sources to get my mojo going again. One of my favorite sources is to look in the Stampin’ Up catalog. This time I found a card I wanted to CASE (Copy and Share). I used a different stamp set and different colors than the sample. I used Timeless Textures for my card.
Here’s the card that was my inspiration. it’s from page 125 in the 2018019 Annual Catalog.
Design Notes for Timeless Textures Card:
Can you see which elements I copies and which I changed up? I kept the general layout of the card and added twine to the left side. (I had tried Copper Trim and didn’t like the look.) What I did change: I used different colors. I think this might have been my first time using the Merry Merlot Neutral color card stock. It surely won’t be my last. What a great color. I also changed the sentiment and how it was presented. I decided to stamp the sentiment, from Better Together, on vellum and heat emboss it. Once I had cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits I wanted to back it with a Merry Merlot oval. I realized I didn’t know how I was going to adhere the Vellum piece. When you adhere Vellum, you need to hide the adhesive. There was literally no where to hide on this piece! So, I just put adhesive everywhere. It turns out, I like it since it added a little more of a textured look.
Supply List for Timeless Textures Card:
Both the Timeless Textures and Better Together stamp set come in both Clear Mount and Wood Mount. Nice to have choices, isn’t it?
