I know that in a few weeks, I won’t even remember some of the stamp sets and papers that are retiring. There are soooo many wonderful new things in the upcoming catalog that my fickle brain won’t even recall the old stuff. But, really, right now, I’m sad about some of the departing things that I’ll be missing. I love the Rose Wonder set and thought I’d make one more card with that.

Hummm, no rose on this card is there. Well, I ended up using the sentiment!  (Maybe I do have one more Rose Wonder card in me.) The inspiration for this card was this week’s Global Design Project card sketch. Be sure to go over to their site and check out all the great cards. Global Design Project, #GDP138

Design Notes for Rose Wonder Card:

While I love the sentiment, it’s the Designer Series Paper, Sweet Soiree from the Occasions catalog, that really steals the show on this card.

I fussy cut the cake from one of the sheets of the Sweet Soiree paper. (Yes, there are Framelits. Sometimes, I forget!) Next, I stamped the sentiment and some dots on Whisper White card stock with VersaMark and then heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Some Powder Pink ink sponged over the sentiment and dots made them pop. I added a few Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes. Some Powder Pink Ribbon at the bottom of that piece and a bit of Silver Thread finished it off.
