A few weeks ago, I participated in a swap organized by my awesome up-line, Alisa. The theme of the swap was Thinking of You or Sympathy. I used the Butterfly Basics and Thoughts and Prayers stamps sets to create a card that could be either sympathy or thinking of you.

I love the color combination.

Design Notes for Thoughts and Prayers Card:

As you probably know, I love doing heat embossing. For this card, I used White Embossing Powder on the Vellum Card Stock. Then I used Sponge Daubers to color the flowers and leaves. I did that on the embossed side. The other side faced out. When I was putting the card together, I wanted some ribbon and didn’t have anything in either of the colors. I thought white would be too blah. So, using the same Sponge Dauber, I added some Marina Mist ink to the White Organza Ribbon. Easy! Have you ever tried that? I think most of the white ribbons can be used for that technique.
