Last weekend, I was in Hartford, CT for Stampin’ Up!’s fabulous On Stage event. From there I went to Massachusetts to visit a dear friend. I stayed a few days and had a great visit. We haven’t seen much of each other since I moved to Delaware, so the visit was that much sweeter. Of course, a thank you card is in order and the soon to be retired, Lovely Friends stamp set was most appropriate.
The color combination was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge. Click on the image below to go over to the challenge and see some other great cards.
Design Notes for Lovely Friends Card:
Don’t you love the color combination? I think anytime you have Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide together, you can’t miss.
The card was pretty simple to construct. I first cut out the wreath from some Tranquil Tide card stock using the Lovely Laurel Thinlits. The two pieces are kind of cool. They are reflections of each other and have a little slot of the top to join them. I stamped a few flowers on the background layer to add a little texture. I also stamped some flowers on the sentiment part. The Night of Navy ribbon seemed to add the right finishing touch.
Supply List for Lovely Friends Card:
The stamp set, Lovely Friends and the Thinlits, Lovely Laurel are a bundle that will only be available for a little longer. You can buy the stamp set or the Thinlits but you save 10% when you buy the bundle. Don’t wait, it’s only while supplies last.
Here are the lists of retiring products from the Annual Catalog and from the Occasions Catalog.
Hope you are having a great day and looking forward to a fun weekend.
