It probably seems a little strange to use This Little Piggy stamp set for a new baby card. But, really, it makes sense. My friend and down line, Vicki, welcomed a new grandchild. The parents of the new baby raised a pig before expecting the new baby. So, see it really does make sense. Not sure I would do it for any new baby, but it worked for this one.

Anyway, who wouldn’t want a card with this adorable pig on it?

Design Notes for This Little Piggy Baby Card:

I used Thick Whisper White Card Stock when I stamped the pig because I knew I’d be using my Blender Pen to soften the coloring. I would probably have been okay on regular Whisper White but the blending with the Blender Pen might have created a bit of pilling. I love using the Watercolor Markers and then to go over the colors with the Blender Pens. It hides any inconsistent coloring I might have done.

I used the Better Together stamp set for the sentiment and added a few sequins to add a little sparkle to the card front. Have you used the Tutti Frutti Adhesive Sequins yet? They are the BEST! So much fun.

Supply List for This Little Piggy Baby Card:

I’m always happy when stamp sets come in more than one form. I personally like the photopolymer or clear but I know lots of you are fans of wood mount. Both stamp sets I used for this card come in clear mount and wood mount.
