My good friend Janet celebrated her birthday yesterday. Naturally, I wanted to make her a special birthday card. She’s also a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and makes truly elegant cards. Something for me to live up to! I went to the one of the most elegant stamp set I could think of, Lots of Lavender.
The “Happy Birthday” is from the Balloon Celebration stamp set.
Design Notes for Lots of Lavender Birthday Card:
One of the reasons I love this stamp set is that I can use my new Stamparatus. Don’t know about Stamparatus? Get all the basic info here. It’s a positioning tool, great for when you are doing multi-layering stamping. I started out using Basic Gray ink to stamp the outline of the flowers and leaves. Next I used the Wisteria Wonder ink for the bunch of flowers. The leaves were done with Pear Pizzazz. Finally I stamped the bow in Perfect Plum.
Here’s a picture of my Stamparatus while I was creating. It was set up for the first layer, the flowers and leaves. I turned over the top plate for the bow.
Supply List for Lots of Lavender Birthday Card:
Notice that the Lots of Lavender stamp set is FREE. During Sale-A-Bration you can select that set when you purchase $50 or more. The Stamparatus will be available in the new annual catalog (June 1, 2018).
