Recently one of my neighbor had surgery. He’s doing well and has recovered nicely. I made a card for him earlier but wanted to send along a little treat for him this week. I made some spiced pecans. With a little fussing, I made one of the flat Striped Treat Bags into a big that sits flat. The tag was an easy choice, I used the You’re So Sweet stamp set.
Do you like the color combination? It’s this week’s challenge from the FabFriday site.
Design Notes for You’re So Sweet Gift Tag:
I first stamped the sentiment with the Emerald Envy ink. Looked pretty good. But I thought that it needed a little something. So, I stamped the sentiment again on a piece of scrap paper, this time with Lemon Lime Twist ink. Next, I cut it out, added some Dimensionals and replaced it on the tag. Voila. The rest is obvious. The Berry Burst Ribbon and Glimmer Enamel Dots make it all pop. I decided to soften it a bit and used the Envelope Punch Board to round all of the corners.
Here’s another view of the bag. You can see in this picture how it sits flat. I saw this once at a Stampin’ Up! Convention. I think if you search on YouTube, you can find a video. It’s not hard, honest.

The pecans that I put in the bag were a hit. Let me know if you’d like the recipe.
Hope you are having a great day.
