Don’t we all want to give hugs and kisses for Valentine’s Day? The Large Letters Framelits make that easy. I used the eclipse technique to make the X and O pop a bit.

I actually made the an additional card with a different background color, Calypso Coral. It’s another one of the colors in the gorgeous Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Design Notes for X O Large Letters Framelits Valentine Card:

For a few months, I didn’t think I needed the Large Letters Framelits Dies. Wow, was I wrong, This is just one of the cards I’ve made using these letters. (See a few of those cards, here, here, and here.) Oh, and the Large Numbers dies followed shortly after I got the letters. They are both easy to use and fun to use. For this technique, called eclipse, all I did was cut out the letters where I wanted them. Then, I cut out another set to back them and give a little depth. Next I popped them up on Mini Dimensionals. Finally, one little tricky part… the inside of the letter 0 needs a tiny bit of liquid glue to adhere it. I like to use liquid glue for something like this since it will give me a few seconds to move it where I want it.

If you look closely at this picture, you can see that I used Mini Dimensionals to adhere the popped up parts.

Tip for Today

Use some Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a Stamping Sponge on a Silicon Craft Sheet to add some glue to the back of small pieces to adhere them to your card.
