A week or so ago I showed you a treat box I made with the Window Box Thinlits and Creep It Real stamp set. (Check it out here.) This week I decided that I’d give that to my goddaughter’s son and make something else for her older daughter, Ava. At one point I looked at the first treat box and realized it had a pumpkinish shape. (Yes, use your imagination.)  What did I come up with? A Window Box treat that looks like a jack-o-lantern!

See, it is pumpkinish!

Design Notes for Window Box Treat:

The Thinlits for the Window Box make the box itself pretty easy. I used some shapes from Swirly Scribbles Thinlits for the eyes and nose. The mouth was pretty much guess work. I wanted it to have that “I carved it myself!” look. To get the pumpkin texture, I ran the pieces through the Big Shot with the Seaside Embossing Folder before I assembled it. For the stem, I just rolled a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock. It was easier to work with after curling it with my Bone Folder. The leaves were made with the Leaf Punch.

Here’s a picture to show you the stem and leaves. You can also see that I sponged the card stock a bit with some Crumb Cake ink.
