Well, new babies are just the best things to inspire hugs aren’t they? I decided to participate in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights for June and the theme was baby. I like having cards like this one at the ready. (Of course at my age, it’s new grandchildren we welcome!) The Lovely Words Thinlit “hugs” just seems perfect for a new baby card.
Design Notes for Lovely Words Baby Card:
I wish I could say that I just merrily stamped the row of baby pins. Sorry, not happening. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to ensure that they lined up nicely. Do you have one of these great tools? You need one. It’s the perfect toll for getting stamped images where you want them. Maybe I should do a video about how to use it. It’s not hard but hard to explain. What do you think?
As I was putting the card together, I knew I wanted to add another color. I looked at the pins and thought the little holes at the end of the pin looked like hearts. Bring in the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker. The new Starburst Punch came in handy to back up the sparkly “hugs”. And finally, I got to play with one of the new Washi tapes. This pack is all shades of blue. Fun!
I stamped the congratulations sentiment on the inside of the card and added one pin to tie inside and outside together.

Vote for Me!
I am again participating in a blog highlight and would love it if you could vote for me. The blog goes live at 6 PM eastern time (Tuesday evening). Then you can click on this link and vote for my card. If I am one of the top vote getters, I’ll then be in an International Blog Hop. Pretty exciting.
Hope you are having a great day.
